Replay

Somehow, i am getting a funny feeling that God has hit the 'replay' button in my life. Everything is back to square 1. I am single back, i have started watching series back, my job is starting to bore me back again, no pay rise yet, no bonus yet, and money seems to be running out pretty fast from my wallet (i guess my cash has gone into the stage of running from walking.....lol!)haihhhh.....but looking on the bright side, since i started watching series, i have already finished watching House season 6. Next series on the list: Chuck Season 3! Wohooo....lol! There is always a saying: Men's biggest worries are either money or women! Currently i am not worried about women, so it must be money then! Thus i need to earn some extra cash. Speaking about that, those who wants photography services or tuition teacher , please contact me! Embracing Imperfection

A story by a girl.

"When I was a little girl, my mom liked to make breakfast food for dinner every now and then. And I remember one night in particular when she had made breakfast after a long, hard day at work. On that evening so long ago, my mom placed a plate of eggs, sausage, and extremely burned toast in front of my dad. I remember waiting to see if anyone noticed!

Yet all my dad did was reach for his toast, smile at my mom, and ask me how my day was at school was. I don't remember what I told him that night, but i do remember watching him smear butter and jelly on that toast and eat every bite! When I got up from the table that evening, I remember hearing my mom apologize to my dad for burning the toast. And I'll never forget what he said: 'Baby, I love burned toast.'

Later that night, I went to kiss daddy good night and asked him if he really liked his toast burned. He wrapped me in his arms and said, 'Debbie, your mum put in a hard day at work today and she's really tired. And besides, a little burnt toast never hurt anyone!' You know, life is full of imperfect things, and imperfect people. I'm not the best housekeeper or cook.

What I've learned over the years is that learning to accept each other's faults - and choosing to celebrate each other's difference - is the one of the most important keys to creating a healthy, growing, and lasting relationship.

And that's my prayer for you today: That you will learn to take the good, the bad, and the ugly parts of your life and lay them at the feet of God. Because in the end, He's the only One who will be able to give you a relationship where burnt toast isn't a deal-breaker! We could extend this to any relationship in fact - as understanding is the base of any relationship, be it a husband-wife or parent-child or friendship!!!"

"Don't put the key to your happiness in someone else's pocket but into your own."

To be with you...

I wanna be with you, all the days of my life....
You took my breath away the moment i saw you...
I dont know how u feel about me....but i wanna be with you.
I wanna have beach walks with you...enjoying the fading waves washing our feet while we skip along it....
I wanna hold your hands and run where only the ocean witnesses it...
I wanna kiss you while the sun sets...
I wanna build a garden for you, with a swing made out of glass in it. I wanna watch you play gracefully with that swing...
I wanna be there to watch you smile and laugh and 'belasah' me...:P
I wanna be there when you need a shoulder to cry on....
I wanna be there for you to 'buli' me....
I just wanna be there....for you.....
That's how much it means to me....
To Be With You....

Hopefully One Day You'll Read This....:)

On 10-01-10 (i know it looks like the output of a logic gate! lol!)...something really special happened to me. I got a gift from God. :) Something which i will never forget, and always cherish in my heart. Since then, my life has kinda change, i am not the usual me anymore (but obviously i don't show it to everyone, :P). Its has been a very very very long time since i feel like this, experience all this...somehow this feeling is beautiful, indescribable through words... :) Thank you Lord for this 'gift' of yours....i will cherish it all my life. Lord i lift up to You everything, let Your will be done, not mine....its all up to You now, Lord. :)

Goes 2009 and Comes 2010....

2009 has been a year with full of events for me....many things happened that changed my life totally....some bad, some good....i dont wanna ponder on wat has happened or passed, i wanna look at the future.....doesnt matter its 2010 or any other year for that matter.....i know 2010 will be as eventful as 2009 for me.....so i dont wanna tell myself that i should do this and that or get this and that or achieve this and that....i wanna live life one moment at a time and not worry about the future which is still uncertain. I have been enjoying the suprises that God has thrown in my life. When i least expect, sumting happens! So let it be that way for now...
"2010 or 2009 or any other year is the same for me as these numbers are merely human made to keep track of the past, not to create the future"

Happy 2010 people! :)

Perception

Washington, DC Metro Station on a cold January morning in 2007 the man with a violin played six Bach pieces for about 45 minutes. During that time approx. 2 thousand people went through the station, most of them on their way to work.

After 3 minutes:

A middle aged man noticed there was a musician playing. He slowed his pace and stopped for a few seconds and then hurried to meet his schedule.

4 minutes later:
The violinist received his first dollar: a woman threw the money in the hat and, without stopping, continued to walk.

6 minutes:
A young man leaned against the wall to listen to him, then looked at his watch and started to walk again.

10 minutes:
A 3-year old boy stopped but his mother tugged him along hurriedly. The kid stopped to look at the violinist again, but the mother pushed hard and the child continued to walk, turning his head all the time. This action was repeated by several other children. Every parent, without exception, forced their children to move on quickly.

45 minutes:
The musician played continuously. Only 6 people stopped and listened for a short while. About 20 gave money, but continued to walk at their normal pace. The man collected a total of $32.

1 hour:
He finished playing and silence took over. No one noticed. No one applauded, nor was there any recognition.

Findings:

No one knew this, but the violinist was Joshua Bell, one of the greatest musicians in the world. He played one of the most intricate pieces ever written, with a violin worth $3.5 million dollars. Two days before Joshua Bell sold out a theater in Boston where the seats averaged $100.

This is a true story. Joshua Bell playing incognito in the Metro Station was organized by the Washington Post as part of a social experiment about perception, taste, and people's priorities.

The questions rose:

"In a common place environment, at an inappropriate hour, do we perceive beauty? Do we stop to appreciate it? Do we recognize talent in an unexpected context?"

One possible conclusion reached from this experiment could be this: If we do not have a moment to stop and listen to one of the best musicians in the world, playing some of the finest music ever written, with one of the most beautiful instruments ever made....How many other things are we missing?

Balls in a Jar

When things in your life seem, almost too much to handle, when 24 Hours in a day is not enough, remember the mayonnaise jar and 2 cups of coffee.

A professor stood before his philosophy class
and had some items in front of him. When the class began, wordlessly, he picked up a very large and empty mayonnaise jar and proceeded to fill it with golf balls.

He then asked the students, if the jar was full.
They agreed that it was.

The professor then picked up a box of pebbles and poured
them into the jar. He shook the jar lightly. The pebbles rolled into the open areas between the golf balls.

He then asked the students again
if the jar was full. They agreed it was.

The professor next picked up a box of sand and poured it into the jar. Of course, the sand filled up everything else. He asked once more if the jar was full. The students responded with an unanimous 'yes.'

The professor then produced two cups of coffee from under the table and poured the entire contents into the jar, effectively filling the empty space between the sand. The students laughed.

'Now,' said the professor, as the laughter subsided, 'I want you to recognize that this jar represents your life. The golf balls are the important things - God, family, children, health, friends, and favorite passions –

Things that if everything else was lost and only they remained, your life would still be full.

The pebbles are the other things that matter like your job, house, and car.

The sand is everything else --

The small stuff.

'If you put the sand into the jar first,’ He continued, 'there is no room for the pebbles or the golf balls. The same goes for life...

If you spend all your time and energy on the small stuff, you will never have room for the things that are Important to you.

So...

Pay attention to the things that are critical to your happiness. Play with your children.

Take time to get medical checkups. Take your partner out to dinner. There will always be time to clean the house and fix the disposal.

'Take care of the golf balls first --

The things that really matter...

Set your priorities...The rest is just sand.'

One of the students raised her hand and inquired what the coffee represented.

The professor smiled. 'I'm glad you asked'.

It just goes to show you that no matter how full your life may seem, there's always room for a couple of cups of coffee with a friend.'

The Fray - How to Save a Life?

Step one you say we need to talk
He walks you say sit down it's just a talk
He smiles politely back at you
You stare politely right on through
Some sort of window to your right
As he goes left and you stay right
Between the lines of fear and blame
You begin to wonder why you came

Where did I go wrong, I lost a friend
Somewhere along in the bitterness
And I would have stayed up with you all night
Had I known how to save a life

Let him know that you know best
Cause after all you do know best
Try to slip past his defense
Without granting innocence
Lay down a list of what is wrong
The things you've told him all along
And pray to God he hears you
And pray to God he hears you

Where did I go wrong, I lost a friend
Somewhere along in the bitterness
And I would have stayed up with you all night
Had I known how to save a life

As he begins to raise his voice
You lower yours and grant him one last choice
Drive until you lose the road
Or break with the ones you've followed
He will do one of two things
He will admit to everything
Or he'll say he's just not the same
And you'll begin to wonder why you came

Where did I go wrong, I lost a friend
Somewhere along in the bitterness
And I would have stayed up with you all night
Had I known how to save a life
